Hello Cavalier Readers! You must be cavalier to be clicking on a tab of drawings and pencil sketches by yours truly. Sometimes cavalier behaviors wind up in disappointments. If there is anything I am not, it is a profficient pencil wielder. Have you ever seen my penmanship? . . . if you had, you would not have so eagerly clicked on "drawings." However, you are here so you are subjected to them. Therapy is at the third door on the right. Regardless of the lack of profficiency, I do enjoy time with a pencil making messes on paper. It is quite relaxing. You should try it! Unlike me, perhaps you could take a lesson or two or three! A quick sketch inspired by Lettie in "The White Peacock" as she was carrying her books to show some culture to the country hunk. 18 Jan 2024. Another quick sketch inspired by Lettie while she was admiring George's muscles in the field. . .19 Jan 2024 This sketch is not a random one like most of mine are. It isn't even the best sketch I have done. Probably not the worst. Anyway, what is this disturbing picture? It is actually a reflection through my pencil of a character, an important character, in Les Miserables which I read this year. She sold her two front teeth to a street quack with pliers pulling people's teeth for money. If you're looking for a side-hustle?! but I digress. . . Why would she do that? I'm not going to tell. You have to read the book or go see the play. How much would you sell YOUR two front teeth for? if I ever had a piece of expansive property, I would plant a whole bunch of white birch trees on it; how lovely they look in the winter! and all other times really. . . I think at least. . . well with one of my favorite trees in the middle, an American Sycamore tree. I love the bark of sycamore trees best. Do you have a favorite type of tree? I do love bowling! |
While reading "The Woman in White" by Wilkie Collins and having coffee, I did a quick sketch of a fun character in the book Count Fosco! A big fat man who loves to have his pet rats, cockatoo and canaries about him. The above was drawn while reading Parzival a classic. . . Parzival was a Knight as you should guess. This is a precise drawing of one of the largemouth bass I have caught. Ok, maybe not. . . a girl reading with a nifty light bracket. I don't know, looks like a Russian lady to me, so that's what I'm going with Russian Lady. this is a drawing of a cat. . . someone I used to know's cat. . . I am REALLY allergic to cats, but they do look nice. Not sure this does any justice but it was a first attempt at a cat. Can you even tell it's a cat? just a random drawing . . . I guess I call it Girl of the Corn as that's what it seems to remind me of. . . you? |
